This pearl is from the communication array within a section of Five Pebbles's intake system.
But I'm sure you knew that already, since you must have been the one to find it!

Its contents are mostly a log of water influx rates, beginning with a ceremonial header.
Curiously, this header is encrypted.

Encrypting a pearl like this is very unusual. Unfortunately, I lack the processing power in my current
state to decode it. I'll see what I can glean from the data itself however, give me a second.

Interesting! This section of his intake system has seen intermittent use throughout his lifetime, it
must be one of his auxiliary systems. For most of our kind, water is collected through piping within
our support columns. For Pebbles, however, his construction on a shared groundwater source posed
unique challenges, requiring the construction of extra systems - such as the one you recently explored.

This solution worked, but the location of this structure allowed Pebbles
to tap into my portion of the available groundwater with ease.
This oversight proved most disastrous...

Curiously, as of late, the use of this system has become nearly constant.
I can only assume this is part of some attempt by Five Pebbles to fix his own worsening condition.

I'm very impressed by your ability to reach such an isolated
area, but the inside of Pebbles is becoming increasingly dangerous.
I would advise against further incursions.
