This is what you found.

I didn't think the Shrine of the Laborers would be something I'd have to think about at all in my final cycles.

Of all the things my citizens loved to pester me endlessly about...

I'll fill you in a little bit. When Pebbles was built, the holiest site in the facility grounds became dangerous.

Too dangerous for most of our citizens to make pilgrimmage to.

So the little shrine dedicated to their lives before the Void Fluid Revolution became their new destination.

This tiny site, with very little meaningful infrastructure, at constant risk of sinking into floodplains...
became some all-important site that needed to be carefully maintained.

I would receive countless complaints about the breakdown of infrastructure. And here they are, compiled into this nice pearl.

Now with my struts finally failing, it seems like their precious infrastructure is finally going to be destroyed for good.

The only thing that gives me solace about this pearl is knowing it will one day meet the Void Sea.
